Info Detil Spesifik
In 1980, An Agenda for Action: Recommendations for School Mathematics for the 1980s from the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics in the United States noted that “The student most neglected, in terms of realizing full potential, is the gifted student of mathematics. Outstanding mathematical ability is a precious societal resource, sorely needed to maintain leadership in a technological world” (NCTM 1980, p. 18). Over 35 years later, the world has certainly become more technological. In this Topical Survey, we explore whether our gifted mathematics students around the world are closer to realizing their full potential and suggest strategies and needed research to make that happen.
